Senior Treasury Specialist / Analyst - LatAm

Responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding of new bank accounts, setting and administering online banking systems and maintaining bank mandates.
• Liaise with banks on day-to-day operations, assuring bank activities are fully compliant with the local regulator’s / bank’s policy.
• Support management of the Group's intercompany settlements, accrued interest etc.
• Manage timely and accurate settlement and reconciliation of payments.
• Maintain timely and accurate transactional data in the Accounting and Treasury Management System.
• Support month end closing and reporting activities.
• Work with the Regional Treasury Manager on local funding arrangements, liquidity analysis, cash flow forecasts.
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable; analyze financial information and summarize financial status, and spot any errors to suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Prepare for tax audits and tax returns, undertake the month-end and year-end close process, and ensure all activities comply with group reporting policies and principles.
• Contribute to the company's business goal setting and targets, prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to schedule.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies, to both maintain and enhance internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance / Accounting.
• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred.
• 5 to 8 years experience of a Treasury / Finance role in a Brazilian company.
• Deep knowledge of Brazilian Banking regulations and processes, including FX standards in Brazil.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements, experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Based in Brazil, Portuguese native/fluent, English fluent, Spanish would be a bonus.
• Proficiency with Accounting / Treasury Management System is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-cultural fintech environment.
• Understanding of Crypto / Blockchain is a plus.
