What is Splore?

Founded and funded by Temasek and Menyala, Splore is an early-stage venture focused on reimagining search and discovery for the new generation.

Splore is developing a next-generation AI-powered search engine for the digital generation. It caters to their diverse passions and interests—not just anime, comics, and gaming—but also knowledge and information to meet everyday demands, providing a personalised and engaging search experience through its proprietary Splore.ai platform. Crafted by experts in machine learning, distributed systems, and consumer applications, Splore.ai blends data from the web with "walled garden" information to provide diverse, tailored results.

What is the role?

We are seeking a talented and motivated UX/UI Designer to lead the design efforts for our gaming search engine. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on UI and incorporates UX principles, including user testing. As a UX/UI Designer at Splore, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and intuitive interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the way gamers discover and engage with content in a rapidly evolving gaming landscape.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement user interface designs with a focus on aesthetics, functionality, and user experience.
• Conduct user research, create user personas, and perform usability testing to gather insights and enhance product design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals, user needs, and technical requirements.
• Establish and maintain design systems to ensure consistency in design elements, style guides, and interactions across the platform.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance our design processes.

• Business Acumen - Your design expertise extends beyond aesthetics to a keen understanding of business dynamics. Continuously track industry trends, collaborating across teams to align designs with overarching business goals and technical requirements. 
• Innovation Management - You’re great at managing the creative process, facilitate brainstorming, and project ideas' marketplace resonance. This strategic approach extends to user research, persona creation, and usability testing for creatively enhancing product design, ensuring captivating and effective engagement.
• Functional/ Technical Skills - You possess the key technical skills encompass expertise in crafting intuitive user interfaces, detailed wire framing, interactive prototyping, and a keen eye for visual design. Your mastery in UI-focused skills, strategic thinking, and creative abilities is pivotal in enhancing the success of our gaming search engine at Splore.
