You will be responsible for providing legal advice about derivatives contracts, collateral management and netting and offset agreements.

Responsibilities

• Providing legal advisory on product analysis, negotiation, and documentation for derivatives (including futures, options, swaps, and OTC derivatives) and FX derivatives.
• Advising, supporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance across derivative business lines, senior management, and other stakeholders.
• Analyzing and responding to legal and regulatory issues, including litigation and client complaints.
• Developing and drafting internal procedures, policies, and derivative-related documentation.
• Liaising with external counsels to provide insights on market initiatives and to consult on product coverage.
• Collaborating with the trading team and other legal experts for conducting risk assessments.
• Offering guidance on collateral management and master netting agreements.
• Educating and advising operational teams about the legal framework relating to derivatives.
• Participating in both internal and external audits as well as regulatory examinations.
• Maintaining consistent communication with management regarding legal issues affecting the company's derivative operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of derivatives, preferably with a financial institution or law firm.
• Candidates will ideally have relevant legal experience advising on technology and/or financial products at a fintech company or financial institution.
• Exposure and keen interest for crypto assets will be highly advantageous.
• Hands on at work and can be independent in managing complex projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional business teams and maintain relationships with the necessary regulatory and compliance stakeholders.
