We are looking for a motivated Backend Engineer with 2-3 years of experience, eager to dive into the world of crypto and cutting-edge tech. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing startup based in Hong Kong (work remotely or on-site).
Experience level: 3+ years
Tech Stack: Go, Python, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes
(Experience in finance, banking or payments will be a plus; Start-up experience will be a plus)

We need a Backend Engineer to help build the next-gen trading platform that’s secure, scalable, and lightning-fast. You’ll work closely with the frontend team, product managers, and design experts to ensure robust backend services.

• Scaling: Design systems to handle increasing data and user traffic.
• Performance: Optimise for fast, real-time services and data processing.
• Security: Implement secure, scalable infrastructure for our trading platform.
• Crypto Integration: Work with crypto wallets, transaction flows, and DeFi protocols.

Responsibilities: ⤵️
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs powering the RabbitX trading platform.
• Scale and optimise systems for high traffic and transaction volumes.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and design teams to ensure alignment on architecture.
• Work with databases to ensure high availability and performance.
• Secure the platform with up-to-date coding practices and security protocols.
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings to provide solutions for complex challenges.

Requirements: ⤵️
• 2-3 years of backend development experience, with a focus on building scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Go and Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other databases.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Interest in crypto and blockchain technologies.
• Ability to work in an agile environment with fast-paced delivery.

• Knowledge of Solidity or other smart contract languages.
• Experience in DeFi, Fintech, or Web3.
• Familiarity with blockchain protocols and crypto-wallet integration.
