Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the DeFi insurance sector.- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, understanding their needs and offering tailored insurance solutions.- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market, with a focus on closing 2-3 new clients per week.- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs actively.- Partner with clients to understand their business requirements and objectives, providing expert advice on insurance and audit services.- Work closely with the underwriting team to ensure that client proposals are competitive, comprehensive, and aligned with client needs.- Keep abreast of the latest DeFi trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop lead generation strategies and drive brand awareness in the DeFi space.- Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders.- Provide feedback to the product and service development teams on client needs, market trends, and product features.- Attend industry events, conferences, and webinars to network with potential clients and promote our services.
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role within the DeFi, fintech, or insurance industry.- Strong understanding of decentralized finance, cryptocurrency markets, and insurance principles.- Demonstrable ability to drive the sales process from plan to close with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.- Ability to build rapport and foster collaborative relationships.- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of blockchain technology is advantageous.- Willingness to travel as required to meet potential clients and attend industry events.- Highly motivated, with a driven and goal-oriented approach to achieving success.
- Previous BD experience in a web3 security/insurance protocol
