We are seeking a talented Content Writer to join our team at Scroll, a leading zkEVM scaling solution. As a Content Writer, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our content strategy to effectively communicate our vision, product offerings, and industry insights to our target audience. You will work closely with our Communications and Outreach team to create high-quality, engaging content that showcases our expertise in the blockchain space.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Produce well-researched, insightful, and engaging written content such as blog posts, articles, whitepapers, use cases, social media posts, website copy, and other comms collateral related to Ethereum scaling technology, developer experience and blockchain trends.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest developments, trends, and best practices in the blockchain space, particularly related to Ethereum Layer 2 solutions and the Ethereum ecosystem, and translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable content.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with the Comms and Outreach team to develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's goals, target audience, and brand guidelines.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring it adheres to the company's tone of voice and brand standards.
- Content Optimization: Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) to increase organic visibility and drive traffic to our platforms, leveraging keyword research and on-page optimization techniques.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, designers, and subject matter experts, to gather information and insights for content creation.
- Content Distribution: Assist in the distribution of content through various channels, including social media, email newsletters, earned media, and partner websites.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze content performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to content creation and distribution, particularly in the blockchain and cryptocurrency domains.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a content writer in the blockchain and technology-related industry.
- Blockchain Knowledge: Strong understanding of blockchain technology and familiarity with Layer 2 solutions, Ethereum, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), and other relevant blockchain concepts.
- Excellent Writing Skills: Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail, grammar, and tone. Ability to simplify complex ideas and explain them in a concise and compelling manner.
- Research Skills: Proficient in conducting thorough research on various blockchain-related topics and synthesizing information from multiple sources.
- SEO Awareness: Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience in optimizing content for search engines to improve organic rankings and increase visibility.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-Motivation and Adaptability: Self-driven individual with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to evolving priorities and deadlines.
- Portfolio: A portfolio of published work demonstrating your writing skills, preferably including blockchain-related content.
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
