Portfolio Operations & Advisory Analyst

Who You Are:

As an Analyst in our Portfolio Operations & Advisory team focused on frontier technologies (gaming, digital assets, Web3, spatial computing, AI / ML infrastructure, space, etc.), you'll be an integral part of Galaxy’s long-term success. Collaborating closely with the Director, VC Chief of Staff, and other stakeholders, you'll leverage your investment banking (or equivalent) background and keen interest in frontier technologies to help support portfolio operations, develop bespoke research deliverables, and advance Galaxy’s presence in the market. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your financial acumen, judgement, and creativity across a variety of sectors undergoing seismic transformations.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling for portfolio companies
• Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders within Galaxy’s VC fund
• Provide support in generating insights and recommendations to enhance the financial and operational performance of Galaxy portfolio companies
• Work closely with the Advisory team to develop sector overviews of key frontier technology industries
• Participate in portfolio company due diligence activities
• Attend industry events focused on frontier technologies 

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• 1+ years of experience in investment banking or equivalent industries (consulting, PE, VC) with a focus on financial analysis, modeling, and presentation construction
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
• Understanding of the venture capital asset class
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points:

• Strong understanding of one (or several) frontier technology industries
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies
• Existing network within interactive media and gaming
• In-depth knowledge of market trends in interactive media and gaming
• Experience creating and presenting industry or client presentations
