React Native Engineer

• JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)

• HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $80 – $100/hr
• ESTIMATED DURATION: 40h/week - Long-term

We've onboarded some of the world's most reputable brands and now we need a React Native Engineerfor one of our clients.  

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a remote position with the intent of converting from Contractor to Direct Hire within 3-6 months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and use development collaboration tools such as JIRA

• Take full ownership of the user stories you commit to for each sprint

• Work both independently and collaboratively with your team to deliver solutions that meet design expectations and acceptance criteria

• Use Git/GitHub on each project and practice team development using pull requests

• Write test methods as a feature of your codebase, and not just a deployment requirement

• Smoke test your work before you forward for testing

• Build smooth and beautiful UI’s across both IOS and Android

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

• Experience and familiarity with native build tools like XCode, IntelliJ, Android Studio etc.

• Leverage native API’s for deep integrations with both platforms.

• Experience working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts. 

• Comfortable using RESTful API’s Webhooks and handling the data request models, and formatting such as JSON, XML (and god forbid SOAP)

• experience with automated testing

• comfortable and familiar and ninja skills with ReactNative and JavaScript

• 5+ years as a engineer/architect/developer with a distinguished track record of delivering on technically demanding projects. ]

• Experience with lean/agile modern development methodologies,

• Experience releasing to the Apple & Google Play Stores
