Senior Technical Product Manager (DeFi)

About the Role

Ankr is looking for a senior technical product manager for the DeFi team to steer a close-knit team of four backend engineers, two frontend engineers, a QA, a designer, and a DevOps engineer. Your goal is to keep our liquid-staking and DeFi initiatives moving, launch new products on schedule, and spot fresh opportunities across multiple chains.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the product life-cycle – from discovery and scoping through launch and iteration.

•Guide the team’s Agile process in Jira and Confluence: refine backlogs, write clear user stories,

track velocity, and surface blockers early.

•Deliver on time – balance scope with capacity, negotiate trade-offs, and protect deadlines.

•Protect live protocols – run thorough automated and manual monitoring, track health metrics

such as collateral ratios, and enforce disciplined deploy and review routines so user funds stay

safe.

•Follow DeFi narratives across EVM and non-EVM ecosystems (Cosmos, Solana, Sui, and

others) and translate market signals into roadmap updates.

•Support Sales and B2B clients – assess new protocols quickly, shape compelling value

propositions, join prospect calls, and stay engaged after contract signature to resolve issues

promptly.

•Make clear decisions – handle what you can independently, escalate when needed, and take

ownership of outcomes.

•Bridge developers and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring priorities and trade-offs are

understood on both sides.

•Define success metrics and rely on data (Grafana dashboards, on-chain analytics, user

insights) to guide priorities.

What We’re Looking For

•5+ years in product management, at least 2 of those focused on blockchain or DeFi.

•In-depth knowledge of liquid staking, CDPs, lending/borrowing, money markets, and

token-economics.

•Proven experience delivering software on schedule with Agile teams using Jira and

Confluence.

•Ability to interpret smart-contract code and on-chain data to gauge feasibility and risk.

•Direct involvement in B2B sales and client success for technical products; strong

communication and problem-solving skills.

•A decisive mindset, with a clear sense of when to act independently and when to escalate.

•Excellent written and spoken English for specifications, documentation, and client

conversations.

Nice to Have

•Experience with non-EVM blockchains such as Cosmos SDK, Solana, or Sui.

•Past roles in engineering or solutions architecture.

•Familiarity with analytics tools like Mixpanel, Dune, or custom Grafana boards for protocol and

user metrics.
