Sr Product Designer

Job Description

As a Senior Product Designer, you take pride in designing intuitive, human-centered products that appeal to a broad audience. You’re passionate about non-pixel based interactions as well as apps, and your eye for detail inspires other designers, engineers, and product owners. As a member of the Studio team at Citi Ventures, you’ll work in a hands-on, collaborative environment in pursuing high priority growth areas for the company, where value will only be unlocked through fresh thinking, thoughtful design, smart testing, iteration, and improvement. You’ll work closely with a range of internal and external partners to design use cases that illustrate the power of partnership—extending and embedding the value Citi creates for customers through new paths to market.

What you’ll be doing

• Concepts and design through key deliverables such as site maps, user flows, sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps, and prototypes.
• Work cross-collaboratively with other designers, engineers, user researchers, and product teams to envision and execute impactful product experiences
• Contribute to the evolution of our product by improving and expand existing design systems/components.
• Explore and inform design decisions based on problems and opportunities identified through user research, benchmarking, analytics, and data.
• Connect your work to product goals and look for new benefits to your solutions along the way, ensuring that users are able to interact with our products in intuitive, usable, and delightful ways.
• Proactively identify blockers, opportunities, and improvements to the product.
• Provide solutions for the ideal case, edge cases, and transitional states in your work.
• Produce detailed spec and graphic assets for implementation and provide guidance for engineering in the path to a high quality user experience.

What we’re looking for

• Has at least 5+ years of professional experience working in product design roles
• An outstanding portfolio, demonstrating your skills in end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design
• Knowledge of breakpoints and responsive web design.
• A high level of craft and attention to detail
• fintech or data heavy app/SaaS a plus
• Highly fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, Keynote and other design tools.
• Experience with prototyping in order to convey design solutions.
• Is strongly passionate about strong usability and world-class aesthetics, consistently educating themselves on best practices and latest design trends.
• Someone who is used to working both independently and in a group setting.
• Obsession over the details and are excited to polish until your work is pixel-perfect.
• Low ego, collaborative, and open minded
• An empathetic champion for your audience and customer
