Position OverviewWe are looking for a Head of Marketing to drive the execution and scaling of GenLayer’s marketing initiatives. With our brand established, community thriving, and strategy in place, the focus of this role is to accelerate growth, optimize user acquisition, deepen community engagement, and amplify GenLayer’s presence as a leader in the decentralized AI and blockchain space.
This is a senior leadership role for a marketing professional with a strong track record in building and scaling marketing functions at high-growth blockchain or web3 companies. Backed by leading investors, we are seeking a hands-on marketing leader who can transform our strong foundation into measurable global impact.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and strengthens its position in the blockchain and AI industry.
- Lead brand positioning and messaging to clearly communicate the company’s value propositions across diverse target audiences.
- Design and implement engaging marketing campaigns across digital, social, content, events, and influencer channels.
- Cultivate partnerships and collaborations within the blockchain ecosystem to expand reach and visibility.
- Track market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
- Develop and mentor a growing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and results.
- Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate marketing effectiveness, sharing insights and recommendations with the leadership team.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and product development.
- Drive community engagement through innovative strategies that grow the user base and encourage advocacy within the blockchain space.
- Proven track record in senior marketing roles (Head of Marketing, Marketing Director, or similar) within high-growth blockchain, web3, or technology companies.
- 4+ years of experience in marketing leadership, with substantial exposure to the blockchain or web3 ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain protocols, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling marketing messages.
- Demonstrated success in scaling companies from early-stage to wider adoption through effective marketing strategies.
- Hands-on leader with the ability to both execute campaigns and guide a growing team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven mindset, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Established network within the blockchain/web3 community, with proven ability to build partnerships and collaborations.
