Remote Web3 Business Development Jobs in United Kingdom, Europe

About Wintermute

Wintermute is one of the largest crypto-native algorithmic trading companies in digital assets. We provide liquidity across most major cryptocurrency exchanges and trading platforms, offer a broad range of OTC trading solutions, and support high-profile blockchain projects and traditional financial institutions moving into digital assets. We are also expanding into prediction markets, applying our market-making, trading and liquidity expertise to this rapidly growing space and building infrastructure across new event-driven markets. Wintermute Ventures invests in early-stage DeFi and Web3 projects. Wintermute was founded in 2017 and has successfully navigated multiple industry cycles. Culturally, we combine the technology standards and quantitative rigour of traditional high-frequency trading firms with the innovative and entrepreneurial culture of technology startups.

To Wintermute, digital assets - and emerging markets such as prediction markets - are not simply another asset class. We believe in the long-term potential of blockchain and new forms of market infrastructure, and we aim to take a leading role in building innovative, liquid and compliant markets. Working at Wintermute

We are looking for someone with an established network of high-value sports clients and VIP clients who understands where to find them, how to build trusted relationships with them, and ultimately how to win their business.

At Wintermute, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in growing our sports and prediction markets business, using your existing network while also developing new relationships across the market. You should be deeply connected to the sports ecosystem, understand how sophisticated and high-stakes people operate, and know how to turn relationships into long-term commercial partnerships.

You will get significant independence and responsibility from day one, with the opportunity to directly influence how we build and grow this part of the business.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with high-value sports clients, VIPs and other sophisticated market participants.

• Leverage your existing network to introduce new clients to Wintermute’s sports and prediction markets offering.

• Identify where the most active and valuable clients operate and develop strategies to reach and engage them.

• Own the relationship from initial introduction through onboarding, activation and ongoing account management.

• Understand each client’s clients activity, preferences and requirements, and work internally to provide a relevant service.

• Develop new relationships through industry events, referrals, private networks and other relevant channels.

• Gather market and client feedback to help shape Wintermute’s sports and prediction markets offering.

• Work closely with trading, product and operations teams to ensure clients receive a high-quality experience.

Requirements

• An established network of high-value sports clients and VIP clients, with a proven track record of executing large transactions ranging from tens of thousands to millions of dollars.

• Strong understanding of the sports ecosystem and where high-value clients can be sourced.

• Proven ability to build trust with demanding, commercially valuable clients and convert relationships into business.

• Experience in VIP management, high-touch sales, business development, account management or a similar client-facing role within sports.

• Commercial mindset with an understanding of client value, transaction volumes and relationship economics.

• Comfortable operating independently and taking ownership of building a client network from an early stage.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Interest in prediction markets, trading and the broader convergence between sports and financial markets.

• Passion for sports, with a commitment to staying informed about the latest news, developments, and major events in the industry.

Here is why you should join our dynamic team:

• Opportunity to work at the world's leading algorithmic trading firm.
• Engaging projects offering accelerated responsibilities and ownership growth compared to traditional finance environments.
• A vibrant working culture with team events, celebrations and company wide team building events.
• Great company culture: informal, non-hierarchical, ambitious, highly professional yet with a startup vibe, collaborative and entrepreneurial.
• A performance-based compensation with a significant earning upside  alongside standard perks like private medical insurance.
