The Algorithmic/Quant Trader will be an early member of a high-growth business in a high-growth industry, and will play a key role to shape and expand the trading desk.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the trading logic design, daily operation, and improvement of high performing algorithmic trading strategies running across various crypto electronic platforms.
• Own the “trading desk” of your strategies, maximize P&L, define your strategies expansion roadmap, while ensuring alignment with the overall business mandates.
• Work closely with quant developers to provide design specifications, and ensure efficient deployment of strategies and risk controls into production systems.
• Collaborate with operations, clearing and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and accurate new trade instruments onboarding, P&L calculations, and funding needs.
• Participate in and initiate various exciting projects to innovate liquidity solutions across centralized crypto platforms as well as DeFi.

Requirements

• Master's or higher degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science
• 8+ years of experience in a similar role. Preferably in market making firms, hedge funds, or HFT firms, with a proven track record of success.
• Experience in market microstructure and analysis of market, order books, and trade data.
• Experience in market making, and arbitrage strategies. Alpha signal generation is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of quantitative modeling. Be able to independently build algo specifications for new trading strategies and collaborate with developers to deliver.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. (C++, or Java are a plus)
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Self-motivated and highly independent.
• Excellent communication skills, and comfortable to work with a global team in a fast-paced environment.
