Art Blocks has an opening for an Operations Coordinator on the Art Team. The Operations Coordinator will interact daily with the artists who develop generative art projects on the platform and will help manage these projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, autonomous, and professional, with a background in contemporary art and prior experience working with contemporary artists. The Operations Coordinator will confidently manage multiple projects simultaneously, while remaining flexible, positive, and detail-oriented. We are looking for someone who is collaborative, team-oriented, and works in a spirit of kindness and respect. This is a U.S.-based remote position and will report to the Associate Artistic Director.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound artist applications and facilitate initial outreach
- Prepare weekly artist screening documents
- Liaise with artist applicants and communicate acceptance decisions
- Onboard artists to Discord and provide operational guidance throughout the release pipeline
- Manage the collection and storage of artist files and information, including processing paperwork such as creator terms, tax forms, and artist profile and interview content
- Monitor and answer questions in artist facing Discord channels
- Manage high-volume communication and outreach on multiple channels with timeliness and accuracy
- Support Associate Artistic Director in collecting and packaging data
- Provide general administrative and logistical support, as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish, with precision, organization, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of contemporary art discourses and institutions
- Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines
- Highly independent and resourceful
- Desire to better understand generative art and web3Drive
- Passion for start-up culture
- Education and/or professional experience related to contemporary art and artists
- Experience working with digital art
- Working knowledge of Asana, Discord, and Slack
