The Role
We are looking for a Mid-level Data Analyst to join our Index Operations team. This role will provide great exposure to financial markets, financial product creation and offers the opportunity to work directly with clients. This is an expanding team with a strong customer demand, many technical challenges and plenty of room for personal career progression.
An ideal candidate
- has experience with data analysis using Excel or any scripting language such as R, Matlab or VBA
- has a degree in economics, finance or engineering or has completed a data analyst conversion course
- has a basic knowledge of Python
- has attention to detail and eagerness to investigate data anomalies and inconsistencies
- is a team player and willing to always learn
- can present a story using data
- experience working with indices is a plus
Your role will include
- helping different teams across the board: engineering, operations, sales and research to deliver data analysis that solves a customer problem
- creating analysis reports that show how products can be improved
- creating tools that detect data anomalies
- help customers with data analysis questions
