Our accounting team plays a pivotal role at Kraken - we are an agile globally distributed team of accountants and hard-working crypto enthusiasts who are shaping the future of crypto accounting. This role is fully remote.
The opportunity
- Lead global revenue cycle by providing strategic leadership to the revenue team
- Change existing manual processes into automated workflows consistently applied throughout organization
- Improve timeliness and accuracy of the revenue close cycle
- Work closely with external auditors on revenue related issues
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations in all jurisdiction we operate
- Work cross functionally with product, engineering, tax and legal teams on all new product initiatives
- Partner with data and engineering teams to enforce and monitor data hygiene across platforms and systems
Skills you should HODL
- 20+ years of experience in accounting with at least 5 in a Senior Management position
- 5 + years of experience at a fintech or financial services organization
- Exceptional technical accounting knowledge
- High level of technical expertise and knowledge
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and the ability to simply complex concepts to facilitate broader organizational understanding
- Ability to work independently across multiple groups in a rapidly changing environment
- Passion or intellectual curiosity for the crypto landscape
- Inspiring leader with a strong focus on team inclusion, engagement and developmentExcellent communicator with outstanding verbal and written communication
