You’ll have the opportunity to help build processes, collaborate cross-functionally and play a key role in the team’s ability to scale in a fast-paced environment. 

The Opportunity

• Develop quantitative models and algorithms to build trading strategies for the Kraken Risk Desk
• Conduct research and analysis of large data sets to identify trends and patterns
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data
• Develop, maintain and improve tools, systems and processes to streamline the data analysis and modeling process
• Work with cross functionally with other engineering teams to ensure proper implementation of models in production systems
• Participate in code reviews, identify and fix issues in the code, and develop testing frameworks
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in quantitative engineering and bring new ideas and techniques to the team
• Performing other duties as required

Who You Are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantitative engineering or related field
• Experience developing high-performance, multi-threaded applications using several programming languages including C++Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
• Experience working with large data sets and statistical models
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with or knowledge of cryptocurrency is a plus
Nice to Haves:
•  PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in machine learning and data miningExperience working in finance or related industry
• Experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or Azure
