Technical Writer

About the role

We are looking to hire a Technical Writer to join the Sia Foundation team, to help support our community. Sia is a cloud storage platform with a growing community of businesses, products, and startups leveraging the power of our decentralized storage network. Your role will be a driving force in developing content that empowers our users and the open-source community.

Requirements

• Technical writing experience; strong written English skills.
• Ability to transform complex concepts into user-friendly verbiage.
• Experience with GitHub and other developer tooling.
• Experience designing, developing, and publishing educational content online.

Ideal Candidate

• Passionate about storage and public-blockchain technologies.
• An independent operator - ability to self-task with the curiosity to explore the unknown.
• Ability to read and run our code, in order to generate comprehensive docs.
• Collaborative by nature; willing to give and receive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Work with our developers to deliver and maintain accurate and informative documentation across user manuals, guides, blogs, and support documentation.
• Proactively identify gaps in the documentation or knowledge base articles.
• Create engaging content, including but not limited to blog posts that educate users on our platform.
• Support the team with writing requests involving new integrations and/or partnerships.
