Remote Web3 Accounting Jobs in United States, North America

About ChainlinkChainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.

Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, S&P Dow Jones Indices, FTSE Russell, WisdomTree, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, Lido, GMX and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager with deep U.S. international tax expertise and experience supporting fast-paced, innovative environments—ideally within blockchain or crypto. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams across the business to support new product launches, global structuring, tax compliance, and tax planning initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, builds processes from the ground up, and proactively anticipates tax risks in a rapidly evolving business.

Your Impact

• Support go-to-market efforts for new products and initiatives, providing practical global tax guidance on novel or complex tax matters

• Own U.S. international tax calculations and processes (e.g., GILTI, FDII, FTC, Pillar 2, BEAT), and review U.S. international tax filings including FBAR, Forms 8865, 5471, 8858, 1118, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Prepare quarterly and annual international tax provisions and monitor U.S. and foreign tax law changes for business impacts

• Conduct extensive tax research, develop well-supported positions, and prepare documentation for tax reviews and audits

• Support global transfer pricing, including intercompany agreements, documentation, and compliance with TP policies

• Partner with strategic finance, accounting, treasury, legal, GTM, engineering, product, and operations teams to optimize tax positions across the business

• Lead global tax planning efforts, including modeling and projections, and support multi-jurisdictional local compliance and audits

• Manage external advisors, monitor deliverables, and maintain budget oversight to ensure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of U.S. international tax and global advisory/compliance experience, ideally within blockchain, crypto, or high-growth environments

• Deep knowledge of U.S. international tax rules and related reporting requirements, with the ability to quickly interpret new guidance and apply it to novel business models

• Strong analytical and research capabilities; able to form well-supported tax positions and document them clearly

• Proven ability to operate independently, take ownership of complex workstreams, and make sound judgments in ambiguous situations

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts for non-tax stakeholders and collaborate across diverse teams

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Experience coordinating external tax advisors, managing deliverables, and overseeing budgets

• High level of resilience, adaptability, and resourcefulness; comfortable in startup-like settings requiring process creation and continuous improvement

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferred

Preferred Requirements

• Blockchain/crypto industry experience

• Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment, comfortable with ambiguity and building new processes

• Experience managing multi-jurisdictional tax compliance and supporting global tax planning

• Prior tax audit/controversy experience

• Ability to flex working hours to support global teams operating across time zones

• Evidence of innovative thinking and driving transformation in a tax function
