About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled UX Lead to tackle complex, ambiguous design challenges within the web3 space, with the aim of promoting mass adoption of blockchain technologies.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to “do their best work yet” in the crypto space and make a mark on one of the industry’s most promising paradigms: Chain Abstraction. You will have the opportunity to tackle both high-level strategic questions and explore the technical details of bleeding edge innovations while drawing a connection between the two.

You will collaborate closely with ecosystem partners, engineers, product, business development, and senior leadership through the strategy, design, and development lifecycle.

This position is critical to our mission and will significantly influence the strategy to establish Frictionless Labs as the top choice for developers and end-users.

Key responsibilities

• Own the vision for Web3 UX. This requires to re-imagine what user experience in web3 should be and define a strategy to achieve this vision.
• Lead the UX/UI design process, from research/ prototyping to implementation, ensuring it meets requirements and user needs.
• Foster a user-centric design culture by sharing best practices, conducting user research/interviews and influencing product strategy
• Collaborate with product teams and developers to understand business objectives, user expectations, and technical constraints.
• Present user personas, flows, wireframes, and prototypes, iterating based on user feedback and research.
• Produce visually appealing designs, including graphics, animations, and interactive elements, and ensure the user interface is intuitive and user-friendly.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented correctly, addressing any UX issues and enhancing user interaction and responsiveness.
• Regularly go through papers, bring new ideas and stay up-to-date with what is emerging in the space

Qualifications

• 6+ years of UX and design experience, with a broad portfolio showcasing your work
• Strong technical understanding of blockchain technology and more specifically the technology powering the chain abstraction stack
• Previous experience in web3 or blockchain-related companies/projects with high-conviction opinions of the biggest opportunities to improve web3 UX (bonus if you have solutions!)
• Proven ability to thrive in ambiguity and deliver creative solutions
• Hands-on and capable of delivering designs, mockups and prototypes to large groups
• Track record of focusing on outcomes even when opinions are divergent and bringing value to businesses
• Exceptional attention to detail with a relentless focus on getting things done
• Experience in leading with influence, inspiring others to follow best practices, and delivering real value to users
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when speaking to founders, community members, or executives
