Merit Circle

Merit Circle is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) established in 2021, focusing on advancing the play-to-earn (P2E) economy within the gaming sector. The DAO aims to create a new era of gameplay where users can earn income by engaging with games they enjoy. Initially supporting titles like Axie Infinity, Merit Circle has expanded its portfolio to include games such as Star Atlas, Illuvium, and Hash Rush. In 2023, Merit Circle launched Beam, a sovereign Layer 1 blockchain designed to support a broad spectrum of frontier technologies, including gaming, artificial intelligence, decentralized finance (DeFi), and distributed compute applications. Built on Avalanche's architecture, Beam provides a scalable and secure environment for developers to build and deploy decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. To enhance its ecosystem, Merit Circle partnered with Immutable in December 2023. This collaboration aims to expand and enhance the DAO's ecosystem, which comprises the open-source blockchain network Beam and the native digital asset marketplace Sphere, by leveraging Immutable's innovative platform and technology. Merit Circle's native token, MC, serves multiple functions within the ecosystem, including governance participation, staking rewards, and facilitating transactions on the Beam network. The DAO's treasury supports a healthy developer and user community, enabling the ecosystem to seize opportunities for growth and innovation.
