Role Overview

We are seeking a Director of Trading to lead Alphaworx’s trading operations, ensuring the firm maintains a competitive edge in the crypto markets. This individual will oversee strategy development, execution, risk management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled quantitative trader with deep crypto market expertise, a track record of profitability, and strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and execute high-frequency trading strategies in crypto markets.

• Lead the trading team, fostering a culture of excellence, discipline, and continuous learning.

• Collaborate with developers and quantitative researchers to enhance trading algorithms and infrastructure.

• Oversee risk management to ensure adherence to strict capital allocation and risk control protocols.

• Monitor and analyze market trends, identifying new opportunities for alpha generation.

• Drive innovation by exploring new trading venues, assets, and execution techniques.

• Establish and refine best practices for execution efficiency, position sizing, and trade lifecycle management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high-frequency trading, preferably in crypto markets.

• Strong quantitative background with expertise in statistical modeling, market microstructure, and execution algorithms.

• Deep understanding of exchange mechanisms, order book dynamics, and latency optimization.

• Proven track record of leading profitable trading strategies at scale.

• Experience managing and mentoring traders and researchers.

• Strong risk management mindset with the ability to balance aggression and discipline.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and maintain composure under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at a top-tier proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or crypto-native trading firm.

• Knowledge of DeFi trading, cross-exchange arbitrage, or alternative market-making strategies.

• Familiarity with exchange APIs, smart order routing, and ultra-low-latency infrastructure.
