About Polygon Labs
Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the Agglayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the Agglayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Agglayer CDK, Polygon PoS & Katana.
Your Role
Are you a strategic closer with a deep understanding of financial systems, who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and driving high-impact collaborations? As Director of Infrastructure Business Development, you will lead all business development efforts across Polygon Labs’ core infrastructure offerings - including the Agglayer, Agglayer CDK, and Vault Bridge.
This role is ideal for someone who brings expertise in financial services or payments, and is eager to shape the future of blockchain infrastructure. You will own and close high-value deals, guide early go-to-market strategy for infrastructure products, and grow a high-performing team. You will work closely with product and engineering counterparts to ensure alignment between technical solutions and market needs - especially in regulated, enterprise contexts.
As the senior leader for Infrastructure BD, you will also collaborate with the Payments and Real-World Assets (RWA) BD team to identify, guide, and close strategic collaborations with global banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions adopting our Agglayer CDK (Enterprise) chain offerings.
If you have a proven track record of closing technically complex, multi-stakeholder deals and want to help define how the next generation of web3 infrastructure is built, we’d love to connect.
Your Responsibilities
Own and lead business development for Polygon Labs’ infrastructure offerings, including the Agglayer, Agglayer CDK, and Vault Bridge.
Source, structure, and close strategic, technically complex collaborations - often involving regulated industries and enterprise-grade requirements.
Drive engagements with financial institutions, fintechs, and ecosystem partners focused on deploying infrastructure powered by Polygon Labs technology.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Polygon Labs infrastructure in both internal planning and external discussions, especially when tailoring solutions for financial services use cases.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align roadmap priorities with partner and market needs.
Act as the primary external point of contact for infrastructure partners, including intellectual property providers and rollup-as-a-service (RaaS) platforms.
Build and scale a high-performing business development function for infrastructure by mentoring junior team members and developing repeatable internal processes.
What You'll Need
8+ years of experience in business development, including at least 2 years owning strategic deals within a high-performing organization.
Experience in financial services or payments, with a clear understanding of industry expectations, deal cycles, and regulatory sensitivity.
Deep understanding of the Ethereum ecosystem and EVM architecture, including rollups, Layer 2 solutions, and cross-chain infrastructure.
Proven success in sourcing and closing complex, high-value technical collaborations in web3 or adjacent sectors.
Experience working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to influence roadmaps or go-to-market strategies.
Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage technical partners and negotiate long-term agreements.
Demonstrated ability to operate as both a player and a coach - capable of independently closing deals while developing team capabilities.
Excellent commercial storytelling and deal structuring capabilities.
Prior experience mentoring or managing junior colleagues.
