Founded in 2022, the mission of this team is to support the Assurance Practice by making our engineers’ work easier to perform. To ensure that our engineers can focus on what they do best, we take care of implementing workflow optimizations, planning and executing initiatives, and ensuring that the Assurance Practice’s work aligns with the other teams at Trail of Bits.Reporting to the Operations Director, the Assurance Operations Project Manager will provide support in managing various initiatives, including identifying, designing, and implementing improvements in the way the Assurance Operations team works and collaborates with the rest of the company.
Responsibilities
- Improve the Assurance Operations team’s frameworks and platforms to enhance the visibility, planning, and execution of our initiatives.
- Manage the Assurance Operations team's internal projects (e.g., implementing new tools and processes, identifying opportunities to improve existing ones, etc.) by leveraging Agile principles and by ensuring that the project’s targets are met on time and on budget and are implemented effectively.
- Oversee and prioritize multiple deliverables concurrently, tracking key activities while managing outcomes.
- Identify and raise issues or blockers with internal stakeholders and provide mitigation options and requirements to resolve them.
- Create and provide reports and metrics on the status of Assurance initiatives to the Operations Director.
- Collaborate with other teams (specifically Go To Market and Operations) on shared initiatives (e.g., supporting the building and migration of systems, the implementation of company-wide tools and processes, etc).
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
- 3+ years of experience in the security industry or in a highly technical environment.
- Experience working with Agile principles and methodologies.
- An understanding of the key principles and fundamentals of security strategy and risk management.
- Experience working in a global environment.
- The ability to work in a dynamic environment (one with changing priorities that requires a problem-solving attitude).
- Experience in writing clear and concise procedural documentation for a technical audience.
- A passion for working with people across various functions, cultures, and levels.
- A bachelor's degree in information systems management, business management, computer science, or a similar field preferred but not required.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain numerous relationships across the organization.
- Exceptional organization skills and the ability to work effectively in both a deeply technical environment and in a non-technical business user environment.
