Product Manager: DeFi

Introduction to the role

We're seeking a dedicated Product Manager to drive our expansion into the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. This role focuses on navigating DeFi markets, shaping our strategy for expansion and identifying opportunities to develop our liquidity & market making products for traders & research.

In this role, you'll lead the charge in building our presence in the DeFi space from the ground up. You'll be working with a cross-sectional squad, our trading & research teams, to define & deliver technology that supports our expansion into de-fi offerings for our clients. Your responsibilities will include developing a comprehensive understanding of various blockchains & protocols, strategically selecting partners, and delivering technology solutions to facilitate profitable trading strategies. Moreover, you'll play a crucial role in providing liquidity services to both our partners and clients, cementing our position as a key player in the DeFi ecosystem.

Core responsibilities:

• Lead the product discovery and definition process for a cross-functional squad consisting of engineers, data engineers, QA specialists, data intelligence analysts, and tech support personnel.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify market opportunities, gather requirements, and prioritize features for development.

• Drive the development and execution of product deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and identify areas for innovation.

• Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable user stories, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

• Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external partners.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Continuously iterate on the product based on user feedback, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Previous experience needed:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field;

• 3+ years of experience in product management roles, with a proven track record of delivering successful products in the fintech, cryptocurrency, or related sectors.

• Strong understanding of trading technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and blockchain concepts.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative working environment.

• Familiarity and experience with defi trading or similar is a plus

• Experience in quantitative roles is beneficial

For this role it would be highly desirable for the successful candidate to be based in Europe time zone.
