Senior Associate - Venture Capital

Full-time remote

Advanced Blockchain is a publicly-traded venture builder and investor solely dedicated to crypto and Web3. Since 2017, Advanced Blockchain has invested into or incubated some of the top projects in the space, including Polkadot, NEAR protocol, Arweave, Composable Finance, Element Finance, Neon Labs, Fei Protocol, and over 20 more.

Responsibilities

• Active contribution to our team’s deal flow efforts by executing origination.
• Build and maintain relationships with other venture capital firms.
• Work closely with our portfolio success team to align portfolio companies.
• Analyze and assess the quality of startups.
• Coming prepared to investment committee meetings and being an active contributor to discourse.
• Create written content, including investment thesis blog posts and thought leadership pieces.

Requirements & skills

• Strong competency in crypto and blockchain technology, ideally with a strong emphasis on DeFi, infrastructure, and gaming.
• Experience in crypto, finance, economics, and/or operations. Major bonus to have previous experience at a crypto VC or major crypto company.
• A strong and growing network of entrepreneurs, VCs, and other investment firms.
• Experience reading whitepapers, documentation and pitch decks.
• Strong knowledge of Ethereum, Cosmos, Polkadot, Solana, and Avalanche are preferred.
• Ability to navigate crypto community tools such as discord, telegram, and twitter (large twitter following is a big plus).
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience trading DeFi summer and the metagame are a plus.
