Who You Are:

We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Vice President or Director to join our Capital Formation team in GAM and drive capital-raising efforts across a broad range of alternative investment strategies. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with institutional and sophisticated investors, introducing GAM’s products and services across crypto, fintech, hedge funds, venture funds, and other opportunistic strategies.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of relevant capital formation, fundraising, and business development experience. Having a strong knowledge of the alternative investments landscape and the ability to articulate complex investment concepts to a sophisticated audience will be key to success. You will serve as both a relationship manager and a strategic growth driver, helping expand the team’s reach with global allocators.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead business development and capital formation efforts to raise capital for Galaxy’s alternative investment strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers, and other capital sources.
• Present Galaxy’s investment strategies across crypto, fintech, hedge funds, venture funds, and opportunistic products.
• Partner with product and investment teams to tailor solutions for client needs.
• Manage the full capital formation cycle from initial engagement to closing commitments.
• Represent Galaxy at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
• Maintain deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in alternative assets.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop marketing materials, thought leadership, and targeted campaigns.
• Ensure client onboarding and ongoing relationship management meets the highest service standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–10 years of experience in institutional capital formation, investor relations, or business development within asset management, investment banking, or alternative investments.
• Demonstrated success raising capital and managing institutional relationships.
• Established network of allocator relationships across alternative investment strategies.
• Strong understanding of crypto, fintech, hedge funds, venture funds, and other alternative strategies.
• Ability to translate complex investment ideas into clear, compelling narratives for sophisticated investors.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus.
• Based in or willing to relocate to New York City, as this is not a remote position.

Bonus Points:

• Direct experience with crypto or blockchain-related investment products.
• Established network of allocator relationships with expressed interest in crypto or digital assets.
• Familiarity with fundraising compliance requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
• Series 7 and Series 65.

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.

Base Salary Range$180,000—$240,000 USD
