Role Overview

The Product Owner will translate big-picture strategy into clear, actionable backlogs and sprint plans. Acting as the bridge between engineering, design, and ecosystem stakeholders, you’ll ensure features are valuable, technically feasible, and user-friendly. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in startup-style ambiguity, is fluent in Agile, and understands the technical nuances of blockchain systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate strategic goals into well-defined product requirements, sprint plans, and roadmaps
• Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing by user need, feasibility, and impact
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to scope technical functionality, UX flows, and delivery schedules
• Lead sprint planning and contribute to stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Act as the primary point of contact for product direction, making trade-off decisions as needed
• Conduct customer research and stakeholder interviews to validate features and gather feedback
• Analyze on-chain data and market activity to inform roadmap decisions
• Track blockchain industry trends and integrate learnings into product improvements
• Communicate roadmap progress and product insights to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• 3+ years in product management or product ownership in tech environments
• 1–2 years working with blockchain, crypto, or DeFi platforms
• Strong knowledge of Agile practices and tools (Jira, Linear, Notion, etc.)
• Ability to write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria
• Excellent communication skills for async, distributed work environments
• Familiarity with smart contract systems (Solidity/EVM preferred) and their product implications
• Strong user empathy and ability to synthesize feedback into requirements
• Experience working with global, distributed teams across time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DAOs or contributions to open-source blockchain projects
• Hands-on familiarity with wallet interactions, token utilities, or smart contract integrations
• Experience leading product development for a dApp or developer tool
• Proven success shipping MVPs and iterating rapidly
• Comfort making prioritization decisions with incomplete data
