Who You Are:

Galaxy is looking for a Network Architect to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of secure, scalable, high-performance data network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based network solutions. 
• Collaborate with IT leadership to develop network strategies and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and future technology trends.  
• Collaborate with peer teams to ensure networks are designed and implemented with security best practices, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR), and threat mitigation in mind.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, including diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
• Act as the top-level support for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex network issues, ensuring business continuity.
• Enhance network functionality through effective NPM and mitigate as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of experience in networking, with 7+ years in an architectural or senior engineering role.
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE-DC), AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or other equivalent certifications.
• Strong understanding of enterprise-level network architectures, data center environments, and cloud integration.
• Proven track record of innovative problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot complex network systems.
• Proficient in network security technologies like firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, DDoS protection, and identity access management (IAM).
• Expertise in IP networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, IPsec, TCP/IP, QoS) and related technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking in platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including hybrid cloud designs and integrations.
• Knowledge of network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting, Terraform) to automate configuration, deployment, and management processes.
• In-depth understanding of data center networking (e.g., PaloAlto, ZIA/ZPN, AWS, NXOS, DataDog, Ansible, Terraform, Visio, Wireshark).
• Willingness to travel within and to US, EMEA, and APAC.
