Role Overview
We’re looking for a Business Development & Partnerships Manager to lead merchant acquisition for GLMall.
Your core mission is to get merchants live on GLMall — either directly through outbound outreach or indirectly via partnerships with agencies, platforms, and networks that represent large numbers of merchants.
This is a hands-on BD role combining:
- Direct merchant outreach and deal closing
- Strategic partnerships with merchant aggregators
- Pipeline ownership from first contact → live merchant
Key Responsibilities
Merchant Acquisition (Core)
- Identify, prospect, and onboard online merchants onto GLMall
- Run outbound campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and direct outreach
- Qualify merchants, manage conversations, and close pilot installs
- Own the merchant pipeline end-to-end (lead → activation)
Partnerships & Networks
- Build partnerships with:
- E-commerce agencies
- Shopify-focused consultants
- Merchant networks and platforms
- Structure win-win referral or revenue-share partnerships
- Enable partners with clear messaging, materials, and incentives
Deal Execution
- Pitch GLMall’s value clearly (escrow, chargeback resistance, crypto-native buyers)
- Handle objections and guide merchants through onboarding
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure fast merchant activation
Reporting & Feedback
- Track outreach, conversions, and merchant activation metrics
- Feed merchant insights back into product and growth teams
- Help refine messaging based on real-world merchant feedback
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships
- Strong outbound skills (email, LinkedIn, direct outreach)
- Proven ability to close deals or onboard partners
- Comfortable operating in early-stage, fast-moving environments
- Clear, confident communicator with merchants and partners
- Good knowledge in using AI tools
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, crypto, SaaS, or e-commerce
- Existing relationships with agencies or merchant networks
- Understanding of online payments or checkout systems
- Startup or pre-raise experience
