The Telos Network is a third generation blockchain network, supporting C++ and solidty based applications. Telos has native eos.io based blockchain and an EVM solution, both which offer high throughput and low fees. Telos has been live since 2019 and has numerous applications. Telos had no ICO and has been working on growing the ecosystem through a grassroots effort over the last 3 years. Due to the continued effort, we have had a lot of success and are in the process of professionalizing all areas in order to become one of the most competitive DApp networks within the blockchain/ cryptocurrency space.
You will act as an interface between Core Development, Business Development and DApps building on Telos. You combine development and communication skills, being excited to interact with the community and applications building on Telos. Understanding the Telos technology and infrastructure is key for this role, therefore active participation in our development processes is a success factor for your work.
To match these requirements, your role will serve three core functions.
- Development: It is expected that you are a capable blockchain developer with proven experience. Able to work hands on in our EVM and EOSIO projects alongside our internal and external development teams and open source community. (desired skills below)
- DApp onboarding: Serve as a bridge between our Business Development and Core Development teams, helping external applications onboard into the Telos Ecosystem.
- Developer liaison: Help bring awareness to Telos blockchain in developer communities, and help onboard those who are interested in becoming part of the developer community/ building applications.
What you will do:
- Work closely with the Telos Core Developer, Business Development, external applications and the developer community.
- Work directly with external DApp's technical resources to assist in coordinating technical requirements, onboarding and launch process.
- Actively develop / build core blockchain infrastructure and Telos DApps, such as RPCs, block explorers, web-wallet or smart contracts.
- Outreach into the Solidity and blockchain developer community to bring awareness to the Telos platform.
- Identify pain points in the Telos developer experience and work to identify solutions that can support the entire ecosystem.
- Write clear documentation and compelling tutorials for building on Telos and own the Telos developer documentation and tooling experience.
- Act as an advisor and liaison to developers participating in hackathons and the Telos Ignite grant program.
- Become fluent across the full stack of Telos production products and supporting platforms and services.
Skills and Experience You Have:
- [3]+ years' experience working as a software engineer or engineering-focused developer advocate or dev operations.
- Blockchain development experience is required.
- Experience with web3/ethers/vue/solidity preferred, but not mandatory
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment as a self-starter is a must
- Knowledge of agile software development methodology and tools (Jira/Confluence) is a plus
- An ability to distill complex concepts into easy to understand explanations
- Experience helping other developers streamline their development process
- Emphatic and communicative mindset highly appreciated
