Responsibilities

    • As a Threat Intelligence (TI) Analyst you will assess and analyze cyber intelligence to create intelligence products which will provide insight to support decision making and operational activity. 
    • You will be asked to make recommendations to direct the business to mitigate threat, harm and risk to our assets. 
    • Collate, evaluate and process data for analysis, apply critical thinking methodologies and structured analytical techniques.
    • Produce concise assessments that identify intelligence gaps and generate recommendations.
    • Work to a high level of integrity, routinely handling highly confidential information.
    • Clearly present and explain your analytical products to internal and external audiences.
    • Be a self starter - able to work both independently and as part of a larger global team.
    • Ability to work across all threats in order to understand threat actors and groups targeting the group.

Requirements

    • University Degree in Computer Science
    • Worked for a government agency, TI specialist firm or financial services TI team.  
    • Understand the importance of TI in an organization and how they are used. 
    • Expert knowledge of terminology with commonly used terms relating to TI and intelligence processes. 
    • Able to distinguish between different threat actors and their likely objectives & threat actor types and groups and their differences.  
    • Able to understand the definition of a threat vector, and demonstrate knowledge of key threat vectors. 
    • Understand the definition of a vulnerability and demonstrate knowledge of common vulnerability types. 
    • Good knowledge on the lifecycle of a typical attack, for example using a model such as the “Cyber Kill Chain” or other common Ti methodologies & frameworks.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between threat, capability, intent, and motivation.
    • Expert in monitoring threat information coming from open and commercial sources, peers and partners, constituents (the government partner institutions, bodies and agencies), etc.
    • Analyze & create threat reports.
    • Understand technical threat data flow such IOCs and detection rules in a cyber context. 
    • Track the activity of top threat actors and the evolution of techniques, tactics and procedures (TTPs).
    • Feed CERT-EU's cyber threat intelligence knowledge base.
    • Assess incidents that could affect the business and its employees by collecting information, verifying its credibility, and analyzing the incident based on team procedures and issuing alerts/recall messages to those affected. 
    • Conduct regional threat monitoring and research according to team procedures. 
    • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge base of sources including OSINT, social media, subscription platforms and team archives. 
    • Develop the capability to utilize team threat intelligence tools to efficiently monitor enterprise wide threats. Stay current with tool updates. 
    • Be quick to verify real-time news as it happens and be able to write a concise and accurate report for distribution within minutes to key partners and employees.
