Important requirement

You must have:

• Helped build a consumer product where users could hold, send, receive, convert or spend stablecoins
• Personally designed or implemented fraud-prevention, payment-risk or transaction-monitoring systems for that product
• Worked with real users and real financial transactions

General fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, DeFi or full-stack experience without direct stablecoin-neobank and fraud-prevention experience is not sufficient for this position.

About Ihsan and Ihsan Pay

Ihsan is building a new digital home for the global Muslim community.

Our long-term vision is to create a super-app that brings the Ummah together in one place—starting with private communication and expanding into payments, commerce, investment, media, education and more.

We believe the Muslim world should have digital infrastructure that reflects its values, protects its independence and makes it easier for Muslims across countries, cultures and languages to connect and do business.

Ihsan Pay is the financial foundation of this vision.

We are building a global self-custodial stablecoin neobank that feels as simple and familiar as a modern bank account while remaining aligned with Islamic principles.

Users will be able to hold and use three digital balances:

• US dollars through USDC
• Euros through EURC
• Gold through PAXG

All three assets will operate on Solana. We are intentionally focusing on one blockchain and three carefully selected digital assets—not building a multi-chain cryptocurrency wallet with hundreds of speculative tokens.

Integrated into the Ihsan messenger, Ihsan Pay will allow users to:

• Hold US dollars, euros and gold
• Send money using usernames and QR codes
• Receive money from other Ihsan Pay users
• Deposit and withdraw through integrated fiat partners
• Make local and international payments
• Accept payments as a merchant
• Use a stablecoin-connected Visa debit card
• Use gold as an everyday means of payment
• Store, spend and invest without riba (interest)

We want to make payments and commerce between Muslims as well as Non-Muslims easier, strengthen economic cooperation across the Ummah and contribute to building a more connected, prosperous Muslim world.

This is an opportunity to help build more than another fintech or cryptocurrency application. It is an opportunity to help create financial infrastructure designed to serve the Ummah for generations.

The role

Fraud prevention will be one of the foundations of Ihsan Pay.

We are looking for an exceptional senior or staff-level engineer who has already helped build and protect a production stablecoin neobank.

You will become the technical owner of fraud prevention and payment risk for Ihsan Pay. You will work closely with our payments engineers, product team, compliance partners and external providers to design the platform so fraudulent activity is detected and restricted as early as possible.

You will build systems that evaluate users, devices, identities, bank accounts, cards, wallets and transactions in real time.

This is a hands-on engineering role—not primarily a compliance, policy, audit or manual-review position.

What you will build

• Ihsan Pay’s real-time fraud and payment-risk engine
• Risk profiles for users, devices, identities, wallets, bank accounts and transactions
• Risk decisions for Ihsan-controlled services, including cards, fiat rails, on/off-ramps, merchant services and sponsored transactions
• Warnings, additional confirmation and step-up verification for suspicious on-chain transfers
• Device fingerprinting and trusted-device management
• Account-takeover and unusual-login detection
• IP reputation, VPN/proxy and geolocation controls
• Transaction velocity, frequency and amount limits
• Behavioral monitoring and anomaly detection
• Blockchain-address screening and on-chain transaction monitoring
• Detection of money mules, scams, structuring and rapid movement of funds
• Controls against stolen and synthetic identities
• Controls against referral, promotional and onboarding abuse
• Step-up verification for high-risk actions
• Transaction holds or withdrawal delays for Ihsan-controlled fiat, card and off-ramp services where legally permitted
• Restrictions on cards, fiat rails, gas sponsorship and other Ihsan-provided services
• Internal dashboards for fraud investigation and manual review
• Case-management tools and permanent audit trails
• Integrations with KYC, KYT, sanctions and fraud-intelligence providers
• Fraud analytics, monitoring and incident alerts
• Systems for measuring fraud losses, detection rates and false positives
• Fraud controls that preserve self-custody and never give Ihsan unilateral signing authority over users’ funds

What success looks like

You will help us build a fraud-protection system that:

• Evaluates high-risk activity in real time
• Stops or delays suspicious activity through Ihsan-controlled services
• Warns users before they send funds to suspicious or high-risk wallets
• Requires additional verification for unusual or high-risk actions
• Detects connections between accounts, devices, identities and wallets
• Identifies new and changing fraud patterns quickly
• Restricts fraudulent access to cards, fiat rails, off-ramps and gas sponsorship
• Gives investigators clear evidence and effective controls
• Maintains complete audit trails
• Protects legitimate users without creating unnecessary friction
• Preserves users’ self-custody and control over their funds
• Allows Ihsan Pay to grow internationally without fraud becoming unmanageable

Why join Ihsan?

You will help build the fraud and risk foundation of Ihsan Pay from the beginning.

Your work will directly influence whether we can protect our users and grow safely across different countries.

You will join at an early stage, shape important technical decisions and take meaningful ownership of financial infrastructure intended to serve the global Muslim community.

For someone who shares our mission, this is an opportunity to use your experience to help build something valuable and lasting for the Ummah.

How to apply

Please submit:

• Your CV
• LinkedIn profile
• GitHub or relevant technical portfolio
• The name and website of the stablecoin neobank you worked for
• App Store and Google Play links to the product, if available

Please answer these three questions:

• Which relevant company did you work for, what was your role and how long did you work there?
• What parts of the product and its fraud-protection systems did you personally design or build?
• What real fraud problems did your work help detect or prevent, and what measurable results did it achieve?

Direct engineering experience with both a live stablecoin neobank and fraud prevention is required.
