Location: Remote (Event location-based travel as needed), EST preferred

Compensation: $100,000 + potential for bonus opportunity available

Position Summary

We’re looking for a visionary Event Director to take the helm of a flagship gathering in the Web3, crypto, and blockchain ecosystem, Blockchain Futurist Conference. The Event Director is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of corporate events that align with organizational objectives. This role oversees the full event lifecycle from concept and budgeting to execution and post-event analysis ensuring events strengthen brand presence, drive engagement, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The Director leads cross-functional teams, manages vendor and stakeholder relationships, and ensures seamless, high-quality event experiences.

·      Experienced running large-scale conferences (3,000+ attendees) from concept to execution.

·      Proven experience managing events in a corporate environment, collaborating across finance, marketing, registration, and other teams.

·      Knowledgeable about crypto, Web3, AI, and emerging technologies.

·      Experienced in building and attending Web3 events with industry insight.

·      Skilled at balancing sales, marketing, and operations to deliver both revenue growth and exceptional event experiences.

·      Successful at leading and motivating cross-functional teams.

·      Self-driven, detail-oriented, and process-focused.

·      Proven in business development and partnership roles.

·      Strong in communication, negotiation, and relationship-building.

·      Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.

·      Experienced in managing teams of 10+ people.

·      Able to align sponsors, speakers, media, press, volunteers, and sales for seamless events.

·      Proficient in CRM management; Salesforce and Hubspot is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Strategic & Financial Planning

·      Lead marketing, sales, event operations, and external partners to execute brand strategy, including timelines, success metrics, and event plans.

·      Oversee annual financial planning, quarterly forecasting, and group P&L.

Sales & Revenue Management

·      Define product offerings, recommend pricing strategies, and annual sales plans with VP of Sales.

·      Manage and grow large, custom sponsorship accounts, ensuring deliverables and ROI align with client objectives.

·      Manage floorplan for revenue, customer experience, and attendee flow; implement rebooking and onsite sales strategies.

Budget Management

·      Responsible for managing, monitoring and tracking annual event financials to ensure alignment with approved budget; prepare quarterly budget forecasts, manage month end accruals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

·      Work with finance and accounting teams on budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and vendor payments.

·      Work closely with registration, marketing, and sales teams to deliver seamless attendee and sponsor experiences.

·     Act as the central point of coordination across all departments, ensuring alignment and accountability.

Customer Experience & Engagement

·      Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and partners to create engaging onsite content, activations, and year-round customer experience strategies.

·      Ensure accurate, on-brand communications and collateral.

·      Partner with marketing to track, measure, and execute promotional efforts.

·      Lead post-event debrief, address feedback, and implement improvements.

·      Maintain high-quality onsite experience for exhibitors and attendees, achieving above-average NPS scores.

·      Support audience and sales marketing plan development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in planning and executing large-scale events
  • Experience working within a corporate environment
  • Experience or strong knowledge of the Web3, crypto, or blockchain industry.

·      Demonstrated success managing teams of 10+ people.

·      Proven ability to manage sponsors, speakers, media, press, volunteers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

·      Highly organized with strong attention to detail and process.

  • Data-driven approach to problem solving, especially under time constraints and in challenging situations
  • Possesses a strategic and collaborative mindset with ability to negotiate
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner; strong ability to motivate, influence and lead a team
  • Team player with a "no task is too small" attitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel, with the ability to manage communication, scheduling, and reporting across departments, along with proven adaptability to corporate software systems and tools.
  • Ideally, proven corporate event experience and a demonstrated ability to collaborate across finance, accounting, marketing, registration, and other internal teams to deliver large-scale events successfully.
  • Ideally, experience working within the Web3, crypto, or blockchain events industry, with an understanding of its unique audiences, trends, and community dynamics.
  • Salesforce and Hubspot experience is strongly preferred
