Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced head of growth to lead builder acquisition, ecosystem expansion, and funding success across our network. The ideal candidate deeply understands crypto and the developer ecosystem. They have experience across the whole funnel, from developer acquisition to engagement to retention. They have experience with content, marketing automation tools, lifecycle marketing, and community engagement.
The Head of Growth will be responsible for designing and executing Thrive Protocol’s builder acquisition strategy, engagement initiatives, and ecosystem partnerships. This role requires a data-driven approach, a strategic mindset, and hands-on execution capabilities to accelerate Thrive’s adoption across crypto builders, DAOs, and investors. The role will also involve leading and managing a global team of growth, marketing, and business development professionals, ensuring alignment with Thrive’s broader mission and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Market Positioning
- Own brand and narrative to drive adoption and maintain precise market positioning in a shifting landscape
- Build, manage, and scale marketing channels to drive brand awareness and developer engagement
- Develop and implement go-to-market (GTM) strategies for Thrive’s funding programs
- Expand Thrive’s presence through co-marketing initiatives, ecosystem integrations, and strategic alliances
Builder Acquisition & Engagement
- Drive top-of-funnel growth for high-quality builders across the network
- Drive engagement and onboarding of top-tier Web3 projects across our partner ecosystems
- Streamline the applicant funnel for funding programs to maximize high-quality submissions
- Reduce application bottlenecks and optimize the review and funding process for efficiency
Retention & Ecosystem Growth
- Drive engagement and retention across the entire builder lifecycle
- Develop and execute growth loops that improve project engagement and retention
- Influence token incentives to drive network engagement
Data-Driven Decision Making & Performance Optimization
- Leverage on-chain data and analytics to improve approval rates and funding velocity
- Define and track OKRs and KPIs for applicant volume, project success rates, and ecosystem expansion
- Analyze on-chain data, funding trends, and social sentiment to refine growth strategies
- Iterate on acquisition models based on DAUs, transactions, and grant performance
Content & Community Initiatives
- Oversee Thrive’s content and social media strategy across Twitter, Discord, and LinkedIn
- Launch educational initiatives, AMAs, and community incentives to drive awareness
- Develop case studies and impact reports showcasing funded projects and ecosystem growth
Experimentation & Business Development
- Manage growth experiments such as bounty programs, referral incentives, and hackathons
- Manage, mentor, and scale a team focused on growth, marketing, and business development
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-6+ years of experience in growth or marketing roles in crypto or developer-focused tech startups
- Ideally demonstrated success in scaling Web3 user bases, partnerships, or funding initiatives
- Strong understanding of on-chain data, token incentives, and crypto GTM strategies
- Experience working with founders, DAOs, VCs, and grant programs
- Experience leading and managing a team, with a track record of developing talent and aligning teams toward growth objectives
- Highly analytical, with the ability to measure, interpret, and optimize growth metrics
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a builder mentality to drive execution
Compensation & Benefits
