About The Role
As our Lead Developer you will lead a product engineering team of 3-5 people, manage sprints, and be responsible for the technical delivery of projects as well as engineering processes and initiatives. You will also contribute code, review pull requests, and provide feedback for designs.
You are a self starter who likes to innovate, and will collaborate closely with our cross-functional team to deliver seamless and intuitive user experiences in Web2 and Web3. Our team is small and everyone makes an outsized impact in the company.
Our team is currently spread between North America and Asia. As this position is remote and meetings are regularly scheduled in the US time zones, some flexibility in meeting hours will be required. You’ll also enjoy traveling a few times a year for onboarding, in-person planning sessions, and client support.
Your Daily Focus
- Lead and Mentor our Product Engineering Team: Manage sprints, workflows, team processes, specifications, and delivery timelines.
- UI Development: Design and implement user interfaces for B2B and consumer applications, ensuring a responsive and visually appealing UX across all devices.
- Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices to deliver a consistent user experience.
- User Feedback Integration: Collaborate with the product & design team to incorporate user feedback and continuously iterate on the UI for optimal user satisfaction.
- Systems Architecture: Improve the speed, reliability, and usability of our Legitimate platform while minimizing cost and complexity. Balance decentralization and on-chain transactions with conventional frontends and backends for optimal performance and scalability.
- Web3 and Smart Contract Integration: Integrate smart contracts and blockchain functionality into the frontend and backend, providing both our business users and their customers with seamless on-chain transactions while abstracting the complexity of blockchain.
Your Background
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in full stack software development including 2 years of team lead or management experience (2+ years in Web3)
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and experience with the React framework and related tooling. Experience with Node.js, Express, Ruby on Rails, or other similar backend frameworks is also required.
- UI/UX: Understanding of user interface design principles and a strong eye for detail.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment and quickly learn and apply new technologies.
- Collaboration: Strong collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working in a cross-functional team with tight deadlines.
- Web3 Tools: Experience with Web3 libraries (e.g. ethers.js, viem) and familiarity with blockchain wallet integrations such as WalletConnect.
- Web3 Security: Implement best practices for secure frontend and backend development in the context of decentralized applications.
- Nice to have: Passion for fashion, music, sports, the arts and the application of blockchain in NFC technology.

- Our web3 usage consists of Solidity contracts running on EVM compatible chains such as Avalanche, Polygon, and Ethereum.
